This new 8” model is an all-condition tactical boot, mixing the DNA of the classic platform with some of what makes the latest XA FORCES great; things like the stitching or the improved outsole.
The added support and stability will be there day after day no matter what conditions you’re putting your feet through. The same Gore-Tex waterproof membrane used in all the other Salomon FORCES footwear will keep your feet dry in nearly all conditions. The EN certified sole will prevent slipping, punctures, and static buildup. The new 8” upper has 2.0 mm thick Nubuck leather with additional padding to protect and support your ankle and lower calf. With the same feel and comfort of its ancestors, the XA FORCES 8” GTX EN brings an 8” style to the popular line.

The fit profile seems dead-on for someone with a medium volume foot, with mid-high arches. I can be on my feet all day with significantly less joint pain compared to other boots on the market."

"These boots are super comfortable and broke in easy. They are light and 100 % waterproof. As a game warden these boots get alot of field use. They are a great boot for every duty application. From a boat, to hiking through woods, climbing up rock outcrops, and also urban settings. These boots are great. Only one issue. The right boot makes a velcro ripping noise everytime I take the pressure off the heel of the boot. It's super annoying and it's only the right boot. Other then that great boots. Hopefully I can get this issue remedied."
"These boots are great. They’re kinda stiff, even after a break in. From what I understand they’re meant for stability on an unpaved and uneven surface. They’re not too light, but on a lighter side. Esthetically pleasant. I use sofsole black shoe creme to renew their look. Very well built, a durable piece of gear. Walked all day in the snow and my feet were dry. I recommend wool socks, knee high. Overall, good stuff."
"These boots are awesome! There was a mix up with the size originally but US Elite made it right quickly and easily. These fit well, maybe a tad bit big. These things feel great! I have two pairs of Salomon mids, which I loved, and I made the jump on these and do not regret it at all. These are a little pricey but they are so worth it!"
