new "wide" default sizing sucks

"no reflection on US Elite, can't recommend these unless you genuinely require a wide fit. bought these to replace a worn-out pair of speedcross 5's and unfortunately the speedcross 6 fits like a swimming pool. great if you have a very wide foot, crappy if you don't."

Pair of plastic shoes.

"I have owned 6-8 pairs of the Salomon Speedcross 5s and was disappointed when I had to guess that the company had gone to cheaper plastic materials. Now they will just be a hot, sweaty plastic running shoe, where I will have to experiment with them to see how they hold up, as I wear them daily on hard concrete floors. I prefer the Speedcros 5 design over this cheap replica."

"I had an older speed cross from Salomon previously. They were a great shoe. The forces variant advertises a wider toe box. This description is accurate and was very comfortable. These shoes were comfortable right out of the box without a break in period. I used them right out of the box for an obstacle course 5k. The aggressive tread was perfect for the rocky and muddy terrain."

"My husband is a huge fan of lightweight yet comfortable shoes for work in LE. He was in the military and now he’s a civilian SD and these are his favorite by far. I bought him a pair of different Salomon’s that he used for about 2 years and they’re still in great condition. He saw these and wanted a reup and here we are. He loves the laces you don’t have to tie, he brags about how lightweight they are, and he said the comfortability is 10/10 for those 10-14 hour shifts. Highly recommend!!!"

Awesome shoe, minus the durability of the tread

"I have owned at least a dozen pair of Speedcross shoes. The 6’s are true to size and have a wider toe box than previous models which makes them more comfortable. The only drawback to the shoe is how quickly the tread wears out. Every pair I have owned is completely worn down around 4 months of use."
