The new EN designation means that the soles on these boots have been tested and certified to be slip/oil resistant, puncture resistant (outsole), and have antistatic properties.

"As usual, fit was true to size and the boots are firm enough for most usage scenarios save for more rugged mountaineering where true ankle breakers are prevalent. Color is accurate and lacing system w/ lace locks work great. Durability is very good. These are my GO-TO brand and style of boots used for hiking, rucking, and tactical training."

"The 'heel cup' is slightly less cupped or more straight than the Quest 4D GTX, my fav hiker/everything boot. I've been thru two pairs of the GTX, and wanted a cooler pair. Heel slips, even when I downsized to 11.5 from my normal 12. Comparing the two side by side, it's a visible difference... So slight, but enough."
