    I originally got this to wear under our outer carriers we just got. I would definitely recommend wearing something long sleeve to compliment it because it’s not meant to keep you super warm. I can tell you though that it will keep you dry. I wore this during a cold rainy day and had to stay outside in heavy rains for over two hours. I was extremely happy that I was 100% dry underneath the jacket. If you don’t like big bulky jackets this is the one for you

    I’ve got one of these in Ranger Green in an XL I’m 200lbs and 6’3” and it’s a great size & cut leaving room for either plate carrier and/or more layers for colder days. The coolest and most unique feature on this coat has to be the sidearm zip access, it will zip down to the bottom leaving room to put a holstered sidearm in the opening then you can cinch it up and put the tab closed under the holster and it’s secure and perfectly accessible. I’ve had it in some rain and the DWR treatment does its job in keeping me dry. Overall I wouldn’t recommend buying any other coat if you’re in the market for a softshell, the quality on all the Arc’teryx LEAF products is unmatched, this coat is no exception and the perfect addition to any setup.
