This high performance winter sleeping bag was especially designed for military use with special attention paid to maximum mobility in extreme conditions.It has generous draft tubes on the inside of the zipper to prevent any heat loss at the zipper.Anti-snag tape along the zipper and a protection flap on the outside keep out wind and wet.The Survival One has a differential cut which means that each successive insulating layer is cut more generously.This ensures the greatest possible loft in all areas and in every sleeping position. Movement inside the sleeping bag creates pressure points but with our differential cut only the innermost layer is compressed.

You can wear the bag like a coat if you want to step outside the tent briefly. Just open the zipper at the bottom, put your feet out and fold the bag up and fasten it to the buckes at the back. The bag also features a draft collar to prevent heat loss at the shoulders. The draft collar also prevents the bag from sliping off when you are using it as a coat. When used as a coat, the draft collar has to be closed and tightened in order to cary the weight of the sleeping bag on the shoulders.

The sleeves are stored between the shell and the insulation layers. They can also be used as pockets for small items. Velcro closures on the outer protection flaps and zippers on the inside prevent heat loss. Knitted synthetic gloves are attached for additional warmth. They enable you to cook, write and use your hands without having to get out of the bag.

Technical Data: Shell fabric is made of Our ultra-light nylon ripstop with extra fine microporous coating called Shellproof. This coating gives the fabric a waterproof value of 400 mm hydrostatic head, sufficient to protect it from condensation from the tent walls or drizzle. It nevertheless allows moisture to escape as the microporous coating is no barrier to the fine water vapor. Windproofing is nearly 100%. Shelltrans and Shellproof are impregnated with a special eco-friendly substance which makes the material water, dirt and oil resistant.
The Liner fabric is made of Shelltrans an innovative, high-count, nylon taffeta fabric, which has been made decisively more impervious to wind by using a fine capillary microweft thread. The degree of windproofing has thus been improved to 10 l/m2­/sec. The resultant increase in volumetric weight is only 2 grams per sq. meter and vapor can still escape just as in a 100% microfiber fabric. The specially dense fabric even without additional coating has a hydrostatic head of approx. 250mm. This protects the sleeper against dew and moisture in the tent.
